چکیده
In this note we show finite time blow-up for a class of non-local active scalar equations on compact Riemannian manifolds. The strategy follow was introduced by Silvestre and Vicol [Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 368 (2016), pp. 6159–6188] to deal with the one dimensional Córdoba-Córdoba-Fontelos equation might be regarded as an instance De Giorgi’s method.

On the blow-up of a non-local parabolic problem
We investigate the conditions under which the solution of the initial-boundary value problem of the non-local equation ut = u + λ f (u)/( ∫ Ω f (u) dx) p , where Ω is a bounded domain of RN and f (u) is a positive, increasing, convex function, performs blow-up. c © 2005 Elsevier Ltd. متن کاملA note on blow-up in parabolic equations with local and localized sources
This note deals with the systems of parabolic equations with local and localized sources involving $n$ components. We obtained the exponent regions, where $kin {1,2,cdots,n}$ components may blow up simultaneously while the other $(n-k)$ ones still remain bounded under suitable initial data. It is proved that different initial data can lead to different blow-up phenomena even in the same ...
متن کاملExamples of Non-isolated Blow-up for Perturbations of the Scalar Curvature Equation on Non Locally Conformally Flat Manifolds
Solutions to scalar curvature equations have the property that all possible blow-up points are isolated, at least in low dimensions. This property is commonly used as the first step in the proofs of compactness. We show that this result becomes false for some arbitrarily small, smooth perturbations of the potential.
متن کاملLocal semiconvexity of Kantorovich potentials on non-compact manifolds
We prove that any Kantorovich potential for the cost function c = d/2 on a Riemannian manifold (M, g) is locally semiconvex in the “region of interest”, without any compactness assumption on M , nor any assumption on its curvature. Such a region of interest is of full μ-measure as soon as the starting measure μ does not charge n − 1-dimensional rectifiable sets.
متن کاملGradient Estimate for the Poisson Equation and the Non-homogeneous Heat Equation on Compact Riemannian Manifolds
In this short note, we study the gradient estimate of positive solutions to Poisson equation and the non-homogeneous heat equation in a compact Riemannian manifold (Mn, g). Our results extend the gradient estimate for positive harmonic functions and positive solutions to heat equations. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000): 35J60, 53C21, 58J05
